Meet Dr. Lillian Obucina
Lillian Obucina, DDS, JD is a full-time Assistant Professor in prosthodontics at Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine-Illinois. She is responsible for both pre-clinical and clinical removable prosthodontics education to second, third and fourth year dental students. Dr. Obucina graduated from Northwestern University Dental School in 1988, and she received her Certificate in Prosthodontics in 1990. Additionally, she is an Illinois licensed attorney and is an ADA consultant on ethics, practice management and employment law. In her spare time, Dr. Obucina loves photography, travel and knitting.
Meet Dr. Joseph Ceisel
Dr. Ceisel utilizes over 30 years of professional experience when serving your dental needs. He graduated from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry in 1979, having done his undergraduate work at Illinois Benedictine College in Lisle, Illinois. His professional career began by providing comprehensive dental care to Navajo Indians in Northern Arizona through the Indian Health Service from 1979 to 1982. Since then, he has remained in the Chicagoland area.
Dr. Ceisel enjoys serving people and strives to use his skills and experience to make the best use of the latest in dental materials and information. He always looks forward to learning new approaches and techniques through regular continuing education programs. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society and Chicago Dental Society, having joined in 1983. Personal highlights from his professional career include two trips to South America and one to East Tennessee to provide dental care to underserved populations.
Outside the office, Dr. Ceisel enjoys woodworking and photography and serving the community as a 20 year member of Rotary.
Meet Dr. Julia Solov
Dr. Julia Solov began her education in dentistry in her home country of Belarus where she received her degree in Stomatology at the Dental Academy of the Minsk State Medical Institute and practiced dentistry for 3 years. Upon moving to the United States she participated in the International Dental Program at the University of Illinois at Chicago, graduating in 2004.
In addition to being invested in maintaining knowledge of state-of-the-art dental procedures, equipment, and supplies, Dr. Solov is passionate about meeting the individual needs of her patients and providing the highest standard of care.
In her free time, Dr. Solov attends Yoga and Pilates classes, goes to art festivals and movie shows, and likes to cuddle with her dog and hairless cat. Dr. Solov speaks Ukranian, Russian and Polish.
